About The Pool Company

The Pool Company and sister company Coastal Concrete Pumping are proud to be locally and family-owned. With a humble start selling pool chemicals from a store in Surfside Beach, Jimmy Johnson founded The Pool Company with the help of a few friends in 1986. One year later, Jimmy met his better half, Sherri Johnson.

Since they met, Sherri was by Jimmy’s side personally and in building the business and remains actively involved to this day. In their venture together, they had two beautiful children, Colby and Aubree. Today, Colby Johnson, Jimmy’s son and prodigy now holds the reigns of the company, after Jimmy’s recent passing.

Jimmy now leaves behind a legacy and a true work ethic that carries on with The Pool Company crew today. That same passion for his work, combined with trusted reliability from his clients, is the catalyst for Colby tripling the business growth since 2020. Coastal Concrete Pumping also opens the door to more opportunities to add more resources and services, and work with major builders in the area.

Colby leads a staff of skilled employees which includes Haley, Office Manager; Austin, Sales/Design and Project Management; and Randy, Construction Foreman. Randy, who has worked here since 2000, runs our construction crews making sure all the moving parts of our many projects are coordinated and properly in motion.
